Recreation Center

To stay fit and healthy, take advantage of what the Student Recreation Center has to offer. Staying active a few times a week helps reduce stress levels, along with maintaining a good fitness level.

Amenities offered at the Recreation Center include:

  • multipurpose courts- can be set up for basketball, volleyball, and badminton
  • group exercise- offers many different workout classes at all times of the day ranging from yoga to boot camp
  • climbing wall- 28ft tall offering 1900 sq ft of climbing with different ranges of level
  • locker rooms and bathrooms- free use of lockers, and showers are there for student use as well
  • jogging track- 9 times around = 1 mile
  • challenge course- providing developmental games to bring groups together
  • gazebo complex- tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, softball field, and one multi purpose field
  • recreation fields-6 lighted flag football fields and three lighted soccer fields

The center also has personal trainers on staff that are available to help you plan your weekly workout schedule.

Remember to bring your UNCW one card with you for entrance into the center!
