Managing Classes and Schedules

Coming into college, managing your classes and schedules properly is going to be one of the hardest adaptations. Everything is new and exciting and the last thing you want to do is school work.
Here are a few tips on how to manage your college life:

1. GET AN AGENDA: You can not remember the due date of every assignment every teacher blurts out. You have to write it down in an organized fashion. This will also help when you sit down to do your work. You will not be on the computer for 30 minutes, wasting time, trying to figure out exactly what it is you need to do.

2. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE: Procrastination will lead only to stress and failure. If you do a little bit of work each night you will not fall behind. Cramming the night before is torture.

3. SCHOOL NIGHTS ARE FOR SCHOOL WORK: If you discipline yourself enough to not go out and party on week days you will avoid a lot of stress. Work hard MON-THUR night and Friday, Saturday, and Sundays you can relax. This will help you out a lot.

4. SOCIAL TIME: Socializing is extremely important in your college carreer. Making sure you socialize at the right times is also extremely important. During the week days there are still a lot of things you and your friends can do together, such as going to the library or getting lunch and dinner together. Studying together is always a good thing.
