Getting Involved

UNCW offers a wide range of groups and organizations for students to get involved in. It can be especially hard for students, Freshman in particular, to fit into at a large school filled with strangers. Getting involved early is a crucial maneuver.

"The Campus Activities & Involvement Center (CAIC) is your gateway to entertainment, involvement, and leadership on campus. As part of the Division of Student Affairs, CAIC is creating experiences for life by providing opportunities for students to participate actively, grow personally, and explore new ideas and interests through a variety of entertainment and involvement experiences." These organizations can also greatly help student keeping their eyes on the ball when considering student government organizations or club sports(both with strict GPA requirements).

A few of the clubs offered at UNCW are:

  • -Media groups- Teal TV, Hawkstream radio, Atlantis Literary Magazine, The Seahawk Newspaper
